I used to be able to swipe from the left to get a search box for finding the apps on my iPad. Since updating I now get a floating window with lots of data about various apps. Where did the search go?

From the center of the Home Screen? Do you have the Today screen locked on, is the time always displayed in the left corner? Bring your finger more to the center horizontally as well. Almost like you were trying to point to the center of the screen.

Thanks. The trick was to drag down on the home screen about 1/2" below the top rather than dragging down from the top. Couldn't believe I couldn't find this information online.
Swipe downwards from the center of the screen. That should bring up the search screen.
I saw that tip but all I get is the time and stuff from notifications. If I swipe to the left I get the camera.
