Hi im trying to update my mac from version 10.9.5 to the latest OS but somehow it doesn't allow me to do so. My update list only shows "no update apps available". I've been trying to find answers online but haven't found a solution to this problem.
You are way out of date and using the wrong software to look for the wrongly named software.
You need an update, not an upgrade.
Open the App Store to download El Capitan (required first step) and then download Catalina (the newest OS).
Ok found the solution after all this time asking customer support.
You can update/upgrade to Sierra. Find the link to the app store.
After that you can update again to High Sierra and so on.
What mac do you have? I have similar problems.
