I cannot see books on family sharing
Family sharing has successfully been set up, but we are unable to access books.

They are Bookstore purchases, you have sharing of past purchases enabled on your accounts, the books are still in the store and not hidden : Share App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple Books purchases with Family Sharing - Apple Support ?
