Mac OS Catalina upgrade with excel for MAC corrupt

I upgraded my MAC iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015)

to the latest version of Catalina and now all my Excel files are corrupted. I am using a purchased product

Microsoft excel for MAC version 15.30


All the data is backwards and corrupt! How can I fix and restore vital files


I will insert a screen shot of an example. I tried to open all my back up files but they are all the same!
