macOS Catalina upgrade stuck for 11 hours

Last night I upgraded my MacBook Pro (late 2016) but it’s been stuck at “setting up my Mac” for 11 hours. Is there anything I can do to get passed this?

Hold the power button for 10 secs until your Mac shuts off, then restart.

Hi,

I have the same problem but my Mac has only been stuck for about 2 hours. Do you know if I should wait even longer, or if I can try to restart it now?
