However, according to my iMac/About This Mac/System Report/Legacy Software, I have Google Earth/GoogleEarthPro/32-bit
Does this mean Google Earth will not run if I cannot upgrade to Catalina?

Google Earth is 64 bit but there is one file in that program that is not. I do not believe this will prevent Google earth from running in Catalina.
FWIW, It seems to run fine.
