Notes for Mac Adds Extra Line Break When Pasted

When I copy and paste information from Notes, to anywhere on the system, the text I paste adds an extra line break. Does anyone know how I can resolve this?

Thanks

Example:

In Notes

Line 1

Line 2

Line 3

When Pasted:

Line 1

Line 2

Line 3

iMac Line (2012 and Later)
