I have updated to macOS Catalina and this has a new app for podcasts. Where are these podcasts stored / located on the hard disk? I would like to copy these files for some purpose and I'm not able to locate the files.
In earlier version of iTunes - you could locate this under 'podcasts' folder under iTunes media directory.
I found mine stored in:
/Users/<User>/Library/Group Containers/<RandomString>.groups.com.apple.podcasts/Library/Cache
Just trips off the tongue. Files in there are stored with GUID style filenames. Probably safe to copy out or backup, but clearly not intended for the user to mess with.

Thank you very much for your response. This helps. I'm able to copy these files to my location of choice. Of course the file names are different but the format is mp3 and hence helps. Thanks once again.
