iPadOS 13 - How to install fonts?

I've heard a lot about iPadOS support for installed custom fonts. But so far the available information is vague about where to find fonts and how to install them.

The confusion is increased by older, third-party font solutions that were specific to a few apps. They involve super complicated installation and aren't available throughout iPadOS. When I search the App Store for "iPadOS fonts," I find a bunch of these older apps and fake fonts - but as far as I can tell no "real" fonts from Adobe, Linotype, etc.

Am I missing something, or have these fonts not become available yet?

And how do we install "real" fonts in iPadOS?

Hello,

Font installations on iPad are installed through the App Store. Unfortunately there does not look to be any good options at this time. That being said the application Any Font will allow you to install TrueType fonts on iPad.

Does Any Font use the new iOS 13 font protocols? Or does it install the fonts in the older, limited fashion that only works with certain apps?

Will we be able to buy and install fonts directly from the type foundries like Adobe, Linotype, etc. via the App Store?

Good news! I found an app that actually uses the new iOS 13 font protocols. Font Diner comes from an established type house that specializes in retro 1950s fonts. Their new app installs a collection of beautiful fonts with a single click, and they're instantly available in any app that supports the new iOS 13 font specs. (The Font Diner fonts are free for personal use - it says they'll follow shortly with paid fonts for professional/commercial use.)

Now we just need the big boys to jump in. Adobe, Linotype, etc. - where are you?
