iPad Mini Storage. “Other”

Do I need to be worried that my week old iPad has an “other” category in storage? I did a reset and loaded from a backup and it went from being around 4-5 gb to around 2.5-3 gb. System takes up 5.17 gb. Is this just extra system stuff? Or is it something that can delete? Thanks

There's nothing to be alarmed about with the Other category. Unfortunately there's not a way to directly affect it, either. I see it fluctuate from time to time. One possible explanation is it's files that are pending upload to iCloud or cached data from apps that has not yet been automatically deleted. Basically the Other category manages itself.

Hope this is useful.
