Email deletes message but leaves behind a blank message that won’t delete

After updating Iphone to 13.1.1, deleting messages as changed, first you have to go to the "waste basket", select the files you want to delete, before the update the screen changes and you could select "delete all" function, but after the update this function has changed to "archive". In order to be able to delete instead of selecting "delete all" function one has to select one message and than you can select the "delete" function. This is very annoying and time consuming!!!

This does not resolve my issue of having blanks in my email view after deleting an email. I even browsed filters to see if that is a new change. No success! How do I remove those blank spots in my email view?

I am experiencing same annoying scenario after the recent software update. How do we fix this?
