Someone trying to use my information?

I received a text to confirm my apple id that I didn’t request. I changed my Apple ID password and later received a notification that my Apple ID and password are now being used for Facetime on an iPad. Is that normal? I was doing it from my phone. I do have an iPad at home though, so did it just change this automatically?

I have seen that message before. Check your device list to see if there is a device signed in that you don't recognize. You can remove the device using the steps in the article below. If you find one, change your password.
