It is a phishing attempt. Do not respond. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. You can use the address below to forward the suspect email message, as an attachment to Apple.

Because someone wants to mislead you into giving them your personal information. Forward it to reportphishing@apple.com as an attachment and then delete it.


If an Apple ID actually gets locked, its owner will be told when they try logging into it instead of through email.
