Can I hide some of my devices from my friends?

I just got a new iPhone 11 Pro and noticed in the Find My app that I can see my other family members that I have shared locations with. However now I can see ALL of their devices too and I am sure they can see all of mine. Is there any way to limit this? I do not think we need to be automatically sharing the locations of ALL DEVICES and can think of some situations where that would be problematic. Can we CHOOSE what devices are available to be seen? In the past only one device was locatable and we had the ability to set which device (iPhone, iPad, etc.) that was.

Find My Friends: Stop sharing your location altogether

When Share My Location is off:

  • Anyone following you can’t see you, but you can see the people you’re following.
  • You still receive requests to follow you.
  • If someone set a location-based notification for you or if you set one for yourself, no one is notified if you change locations.

I am sorry but this did NOT answer my question. I want to only share the location of SOME of my devices, not ALL of them. This creates a privacy issue otherwise. Previously, with IOS12, I could share the location of 1 of my devices with my family which we can specify (We each shared our iPhone locations) but our other devices were not seen. IOS 13 for some

reason feels the need to report ALL of our devices to EVERYONE in a family. I am not sure my adult son wants me to know he just got a $1500 MacBook Pro or that I want anyone else to know I am using the new iPhone 11 Pro. I want to be able to report my location to my family without revealing ALL of my devices and their respective locations to them. Quite frankly, I am dumbfounded as to why Apple made this change, but to make it an ALL or NOTHING is not acceptable. Turning off my location to my family defeats the purpose of it and honestly can be suspicious but we certainly don't need to be reporting ALL of our Apple devices to the family either. So please, answer if there is a way to exclude devices from family members seeing this WITHOUT turning off FIND MY or not being logged into the same AppleID on all of our devices. I want to know were MY devices are but DO NOT need anyone else to always know this.
