I am trying to erase iPad and give it to my daughter but it won't let me because I don't have the iCloud information

I have the ipad that I bought my mother in law and she has passed away. I am trying to erase the ipad and give it to my daughter but it wont let me because I dont have her icloud information. What do I do?
