My iCloud email doesn’t work. Can anyone offer suggestions?

I am having difficulty with my iCloud email it doesn’t send messages. Any suggestions to resolve the issue?

Sure. Provide some sort of detail of what happens when you try.

"Doesn't send messages" is not enough to help you.

I am not sure what else to say. If you pose questions I will answer them. I have looked at my settings and everything looks turned on. What should I be looking for specifically? Thank you for anything you can offer!
