app store shows I need to reinstall apps for iMac Desktop and MacBook Pro today

Checked my app store for updates and says no updates available on both my iMac (late 2015, 27 inch, and new MacBook Pro. But shows my Word, PPT, Excel, OneNote, OneDrive and Outlook with a "Cloud" too download. With too many negative reviews for the App Store Office 365, I downloaded from my 365 subscription and their apps are up-to-date with no issues after recent Mojave updates. Even some of my other Apple App Store purchases are showing the same thing even though using them this morning there doesn't seem to be any issues. Anyone else seeing/having issues with App Store today? Getting so that I don't trust certain things about apple app recommendations which is why I switched from Windows platforms in the first place.

Hello!

Microsoft does now offer the ability to download the Office applications from the Mac App Store. If you download the app from Microsoft directly you should be able to ignore any updates as they come from the app store if you are unsure of the reliability. I initially had the 365 apps from Microsoft directly and when they added them to the app store I re-downloaded them which basically just put the Mac App Store versions over the ones I already had. I have not experience any issues so far. You can find articles from Microsoft and Apple about this update at the link below. Also, one other thing is that you may have automatic app updates turned on, as I do. Sometime I will start using my computer and see that some Mac App Store apps need to be updated but then maybe an hour later the notification disappears because the apps in question have been updated in the background.
