Software Update not available

My macbook air does not have the option for the newest software, and I need it to download Microsoft office. Where can I go to update it if not found in the app store???

Unable to download MS Office do to being unable to update my macbook air I have a Macbook air from early 2015, and I am unable to download Microsoft Office onto my laptop, as I am currently on OS X 10.11.6, and the newest microsoft office version requires OS X 10.15 or newer. The issue is that my laptop is not giving me the option to update to a newer software- it simply appears up to date. There also does not seem to be the option to download an older unsupported version of Microsoft Office as well. How do I resolve this issue?
