I'm trying to set up multiple monitors but there is no Arrangement Tab

I'm trying to set up multiple monitors (not mirror). The instructions say go to "Display" and click on the "Arrangement " tab. There is no Arrangement Tab. Any ideas? This is a MacBook Pro

display arrangement tab missing I have successfully connected my Macbook Air 2020 to a LG 27UP600 monitor. I am able to see my desk top screen on the monitor, but I want to use the monitor as a second screen. The goal is to toggle between the two screens, but I can't figure out how to do that. It seems that I need to access the arrangement tab to do this, but it is missing. I am using a VGA adapter. Can anyone help?

The arrangment tab only appears when you have more than one display connected and working. Otherwise it is not needed, and stays hidden.
