MacBook Pro internal sound stopped working

Hi all. I'm working on a friend's 2017 13" MacBook Pro, maxed out, with Touch Bar. A few weeks ago, with the latest Mac OS update, her internal speakers stopped working. Is this a known issue? I have Googled and searched the forum but the latest issue I can find is 4 years ago. Anyone else have this problem?

MacBook Pro 2014 - Sound Issues Hello, I got the MacBook Pro from Mid 2014 and it has been a loyal companion for five years. But today I opened it up and suddenly the left loud speakers have stopped working properly. There's still sound coming out of it but it's extremely brassy and painful to listen to. Last night everything was working fine. Anyone got an idea what the trigger could have been and what my options are now? Thank you guys in advance.

Internal speakers not working on MacBook Pro hello, my MacBook pro has just stopped playing sound through the internal speakers on the device itself and I have checked output sound in system preferences etc

Hi,

Resetting NVRAM could solve the issue.
