No Notes editing options

Question

No Notes editing options

My iPad Pro, running ios 12.4, Notes app has NO edit options. My user manual, as well as online documentation, shows how to edit and format Notes, but none of the options show up on mine.

I have discovered the problem: editing works in all the Folders, both iCloud and On My Ipad, BUT it is not available for the bottommost folder, which shares the notes with my email address so that I have a copy there. Silly, I know, but for some reason, these just do not have editing capabilities!

Hello,

If you look above the keyboard on the far right of the shortcuts bar you will find options to bold, italicize, and underline. Apple has announced that as apart of iPadOS 13 this Fall that Notes will receive many more tools and options.

Hello,

I understand now, these have not been discontinued. Please verify that all of the keyboard settings are enabled in Settings -> General -> Keyboard.

Yes, I see that, but I asked this question after reading the article at

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205773

which includes this (screen cap below). These options would be extremely useful for me in my business day-to-day work. But I cannot find them. Have they been discontinued? And if so, why!?
