apple store won't let me get iMovie :(

Ive been trying to get iMovie on my Mac book pro for hours now it says I need to have something 10.13.?? version but my computer is updated. Please Help !

downloading iMovie The app store says I'm not up to date. So I checked my settings and my OS is 10.11 can i update it to 10.12 so i can download iMovie? My computer says I don't have any updates. Not sure what i should do. (btw I'm on a early 2015 macbook air. Also I'm new to mac) thanks :)

update problems i have been trying to download imovie on my mac for a while and i can’t. i’ve updated my mac but i only have version 10.13.6 and can’t update it again but it says no “updates available” on the app store

why cant i get imovie on my mac any longer? I have 10.13.6 high Sierra and my HD had to be whipped clean by apple and now my Imovie is gone. I tried to reinstall it and i get a message that i need 10.14... but there is no update for it. my mac is a late 2011.

Open the App Store and you'll discover that an update is a lot different from an upgrade.

My guess is that you have El Capitan or Sierra (10.11 or 10.12) and iMovie requires 10.13 or higher. Next month 10.15 will be released.
