Why doesn't my phone ring on incoming calls?

Why doesn't my phone ring on incoming calls. Do not disturb is off and the volume is set a maximum.

Have you checked the ring/silent switch on the side of the phone? See: How to put your iPhone on vibrate, ring, or silent mode - Apple Support
