I have an iPad Air that that the backlight turns on but will not boot. Nothing is shown on the screen, not even the logo.

Look for an Apple authorized service center then.
Then you need to get an appointment at an Apple store for an evaluation.
Thank you for the reply. I tried that but as mentioned before the screen is not black. It is only blank ( the backlight is lit ) with no logo, text or anything. However, I did try what you suggest and this did not work either.
