iPhone Data after a Factory Reset Question

Hi,

I performed a "factory reset" on my iphone6s couple of months ago, have not used it since, and realized that there was data on the phone that I need. It was not set up on an iCloud account, nor was it backed up to an iCloud. What are the chances of me recovering that information? Can Apple help?

By searching on line, I see few 3rd party companies that seem to "offer" a solution, is that just wishful thinking?

Any and all suggestions would be very much so appreciated.

Thank you

If you didn't backup the device, the data is gone.
