Merge families

My husband and I have separate iCloud accounts and my kids are under his name but I want to share Apple music with my kids and husband but it says they are already part of a family how can we all merge so I can share music with them?

Each member of the Family Sharing group should get their own Apple ID account, so separate accounts for iCloud is fine. Young children can get a supervised account. If the children are already part of a Family Sharing group, then you could join (be invited to) that group, instead of inviting them in a new group.

People can be part of one Family Sharing group at a time. People can switch between Family Sharing groups no more than once per year.

It is advisable that the Family Sharing organizer is the one who gets the Apple Music Family subscription. The others don’t need to subscribe, and any existing Apple Music Individual subscription will be canceled automatically, when the group has a Family subscription.
