once you start on the 99 cent plan for 50GB per month, do you get the full 50GB every month?

No. You get a total of 50GB of storage that costs you 99¢ each month.

Think of it like renting a storage locker. You get a set amount of storage space that you might fill up in two months, but you still have to keep paying the monthly cost to keep the space even if it is full. If you need more space, you need to rent a bigger locker and pay a higher monthly cost for the space.
