I cannot connect the AirPods to my iPhone X via bluetooth

I have an airpods which has only one headphone and my problem is that i cannot connect the airpods to my iPhone X via bluetooth. The airpods is not being shown on any other devices as well.

I dont have the second headphone in my airpod case so the links that you shared with me didnt work
