Autosave Issue in Numbers

I created a new document in Numbers yesterday and, when I re-woke my iMac this morning, I'm told the document could not be autosaved because I don't have permission to write to the folder that the file is in. When I do try to continue with the document it now pops up a window message: "You don’t own the file “Revised Finance Statement” and don’t have permission to write to it."

I checked the folder in Finder/Get info and it seems to show I have read/write permissions down at the bottom of the window.

Anyone have a clue what is happening or what I have/have not selected please?

Hi Paul,

Might be time to clear some of the accumulated cobwebs.

Quit Pages, then press and hold the shift key as you restart it.

When the startup finishes, quit te application again and restart it normally.

The 'shift down' startup calls several housekeeping routines to sweep up and do some minor repairs.

Regards,

Barry
