If you've an iCloud backup of your iPhone content, that may suffice to recover
most activity that had been committed to the cloud; to a new iOS device.

After the fact (or after loss) it may be more difficult to navigate & try to recover
content saved to iCloud; you may have backed up to iTunes, etc in a Mac or PC.
The iCloud backup would be fairly automatic; but may not have
done so, when not set to accommodate need ahead of difficulty.
Depending on what you've enabled to be saved or backed up to iCloud, there
may be more or less of your desired content to restore another iOS device from.

If you did not have sufficient backup storage (above 5GB, you'd have to pay to have) some of
your files would not be retained. And this limit is shared across ALL devices (macOS & iOS, etc)
so this is something to consider well ahead of trouble. There are fee costs, above the 'free' limit.
The SIM card (if your phone had one, undamaged) could be re-used, to help restore new phone.
Good luck & happy trails!🌞

If you have a recent backup, you have your data there. No backup = No recovery, sorry.
Neither we, nor Apple can help you. You can try to contact a 3rd party repairer and ask them if they offer some kind of "recovery" procedure. Should be this case, that's choice is at your own risk.
