Software Upgrade

I have a late 2011 4GB MacBook Pro. It currently is running on Lion 10.7.5. Am I able to upgrade to High Sierra? I understand that would be the latest software that I can upgrade it to without purchasing a new MacBook Pro.

Thank you

MacBook

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, download El Capitan from the Mac App Store, and then High Sierra. It's not possible to upgrade straight from 10.7.5 to High Sierra.
