I have the Apple card, it's not available as an option to add in the Apple Watch wallet I already contacted Apple card support and they had me follow all the normal steps but it's not appearing as an option to add :(

I should mention that I have the 1st (gen.) Apple Watch A1554 running 4.2.2
That's why you are having a problem. Since you are unable to update it beyond OS 4.3 you cannot put the new Apple card on it.
Apple Support finally says that Apple Card requires watchOS 5.3 min :( - So if you have an old Apple Watch will not work, all other banks/cards work eve Apple Cash but "Apple Card" NO!
