ipad is disabled

My iPad is disabled and says to connect to iTunes. I have logged on and connect through my computer and have a usb cord connecting the ipad and computer together. It hasn't changed anything on my iPad. Does anyone know how to fix this???

You put the ipad in recovery mode and wipe it clean as outline in this link If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
