How can I transfer songs uploaded onto my Macbook from CDs to my iPhone Xr. I was able to do this with my old iPhone but with one of the "upgrades" it was deleted from the iPhone and I cannot restore it from my Macbook.

Just won't transfer them, won't drag and drop or install them when I sync! I can transfer them to my old iPad, but not the Xr
