Bought this iPad months ago for a present but the old owners account is still attached to the device and I have no contact with them. Is it possible to get the device removed some how or am I screwed and have an expensive paperweight?
Unless you can reach the previous owner to have them remove Activation Lock, you own a nice paperweight. Apple won't help you and we can't help you. The device without their assistance is completely useless.
