My MacBook Pro is about 7 years. My iMovie is the latest. But when I import 4K video from my iPhone 6S Plus to iMovie, the images are jerky and play very slowly, worse than slow motion. So, I guess, there's compatibility issue. How do I fix it?

Workable but harder for me to work with...the Note tool on the bottom of this editor's toolbar, as shown in the image, to copy and paste the output from EtreCheck.
A 4K video uses a large amount of data and it can outrun a slow older machine.
More RAM may help or switch to a lower resolution dimension.
I need to buy their software to use it and I don’t even know if they can fix my problem. Not attractive. I hope someone can give me the solution.
