newest verion of ios for iphone not available on ipad

I have a new ipad, updated to latest ios 12.3.1 - I also have a iphone on ios 12.3.2. I would like to restore the backup from my iphone to my ipad, but am unable to to due to version mismatch. How can I make this work?

About restoring newer ios version backup to an older version ios Hi, i have iPhone 6 and its ios version is 12.5 and then my iphone 7 plus and its ios version is 14.3. I have the backup of my iphone 7 plus. How can i restore it to my iphone 6? It is not allowing me restore it saying the backup is not compatible . Is there any way? Backup Issue!!! Hi, My iphone6s brke recently and as I have an old iphone5C, I'm trying to restore the backup I took a few days before 6s broke onto my Windows 10 laptop. I'm trying to restore this back up to the 5C but getting a msg to say cant due to ios version issue. Is there any way to get round this? TIA

You wait for an update to iOS.

12.3.2.1 was a patch for the iPhone 8 only.
