Apple Watch

I bought an Apple Watch 2nd hand and the person who sold it to me doesn’t have an apple device anymore to take the watch off of their account. What can I do to be able to use the watch I bought?

He doesn’t own an Apple device but his Apple ID still exists and is locking the device he sold to you. He can login using a computer and delete it from his lock, point him at the steps in About Activation Lock on your Apple Watch - Apple Support
