Account disabled in App Store and iTunes

For about a week now anytime I try to download an app my phone says that My account has been disabled in the App Store and iTunes. I changed my password for my Apple ID but that did not fix the problem. Not sure what to do next. I can no longer open half of the apps already downloaded on my phone
