Apple Watch Activity rings stuck

Yesterday I noticed that though I’d recorded more than 15,000 steps on the Health app on my phone, the Activity rings on my watch were stuck (150cal on the Move ring) and hadn’t recorded any activity since early in the day. This morning when the rings were not registering anything (dashes instead of numbers) I restarted both my phone and watch, and that fixed the watch. Yet the Health app now records only 2,500 of yesterday’s more than 15,000 steps. Is there any way to recover the lost activity?

No way that I am aware of. Glad you were able to fix the watch.
