When the mail app is open in the background and I am doing something else in fullscreen, the Mail app opens by itself in split view whenever I get a new message. It is very frustrating... Why does this happen and how can I fix it (if possible)???

I'd uncheck the top 2 for a test, in Notifications see Do NoT Disturb settings.
This is what I have in mission control settings, but nothing about that in notification preferences though...
In Sys Prefs>Mission Control, what are the settings?
Also check Notification Prefs.
Whose email service provider(s) is Mail configured to use?
I thought this saved it, but it just happened again... So that wasn't it.

Uncheck Displays have a separate space option. For disable Split view on Mac.
