Very confusing message: iCloud acount already existing, but it's not.

Hello and thank you for reading this.

I'm having problems with updating and basically to log into my iCloud account on my Mac Book Pro. After changing the email for my iCloud (I did follow the instruction on the Apple Support site) i couldn't log in to my iCloud account in "System Preferences -> iCloud", but i had my account in "System Preferences -> Internet Accounts". I've tried to update my account info in "System Preferences -> iCloud", but i was receiving the error message: "this account exist already please delete it in Internet Accounts". After deleting my account in "System Preferences -> Internet Accounts"... i can't add my account in any way. It's not there, but I'm still getting the error massage: "this account exist already". My iPad and my iPhone are working without any problems with my new email. Only my Mac is not.

Can someone please help me?

Thanks in advance and all the best

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

If it sill doesn't work...

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?

Thank you for your replay.

I did tried to reset the Mac Book with Shift Key down, but it didn't helped. I still couldn't add my iColud account. So I created a new user with admin rights and it did worked with new account. I can't transfer data to new account over iCloud. What are my options now?

Thanks in advance and all the best
