iPhone Contacts Issue

My saved contacts are no longer showing up when someone calls/texts me. It’s only showing the phone numbers. When I go into Contacts, the numbers are no longer in the (xxx) xxx-xxxx format and won’t let me change back. Instead they show as xxxxxxxxxx

I am running on 12.3.1 so not sure if anyone else is experiencing since the most recent update.
