Every time I ask Siri to text someone she replies “sorry there was a problem with the app”

Every time I ask Siri to text someone she replies “sorry there was a problem with the app” then “what do you want to say” then sends the text as I wanted her to. Anybody have this problem? I have a iPhone 6 running the latest software 12.3.1

Try a few things;

  1. Force reboot the phone - press the side button and the home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo.
  2. go to settings>general>reset>and reset network settings.
  3. go to settings>general>reset>and reset all settings.
