update apple id settings

I updated my Apple ID password and keep getting the message 'update apple id settings some account services will not be available until you sign in again'. If I go to Settings, then 'update apple id settings', press 'continue' NOTHING HAPPENS. Have turned the phone off, and again reset the password. Any ideas?? I have an iphone6
