Lost pictures

Have you tried signing back into Settings/Your Name/iCloud and turning Photos syncing on? Allow time for the photos to sync. It is a very, very slow sync. If you want to sign out of iCloud and retain the photos on your iPad, you need to turn photo Optimization off and allow time for full resolution photos to sync to the iPad.

How to recover photos and videos from iCloud

1. Go to iCloud.com in any web browser (you might need to sign in).
2. Click on Photos.
3. Click on Albums at the top.
4. Click the Recently Deleted album.
5. Click on the photos you want to restore.
6. Click on Recover.
