Depending on what country you are in you can get an Apple Store Gift Card credit for recycling your old iPhone 7.

Apple Trade In - Apple


You can do this via mail-in or certain Apple Store locations can do this directly (but to maximize your trade-in/recycling value you'll want to do it directly at the Apple Store as part of your purchase of a new iPhone XR).
