Boot Camp Assistant installation stalls halfway through disk partitioning - help!

I have a 2017 iMac (APMNE92LLA) and am running Mojave 10.14.5. I am unable to install Windows 10 using bootcamp (I've tried the three past versions of the Windows 10 ISO). The installation appears to be going fine, but the progress bar gets stuck halfway while partitioning the disk. In disk utility I see BOOTCAMP but nothing appears to be installed or working.

After wasting 2+ hours with Apple's support, I have turned to the community. Help!

Disconnect all external peripherals, except Keyboard/Mouse/Trackpad, run

Retry BC Assistant.

If it fails, and you have a Fusion drive, there is a manual workaround, that you can try.
