From another commentator (Alan A.), you need to download/install iCloud for windows software, unless you are going to use two-factor authentication:
- Download iCloud for Windows.
- Sign in to iCloud for Windows with your Apple ID. If you don't use iCloud for Windows, set up two-factor authentication and sign in to Outlook with your Apple ID user name and an app-specific password.
To get an app-specific password for windows 10 email, you need to have two factor authentication set up.
