Predator XB1 (XB321HK) connecting at 1080p only to Apple TV 4K

Hey guys,

Recently bought an Apple TV 4K to use with my 32" Acer Predator XB1 Gaming Monitor (Model Name: XB321HK BMIPHZ Part Number: UM.JX1AA.001)

I am connecting through a High Speed HDMI cable but for some reason, the Apple TV can only connect at 1080p 60Hz, when I try to change the resolution to 4K at any option, even at 24Hz, it will return to 1080p.

Does anyone know the trick to fix this?

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 12

That monitor has an HDMI 1.4 port. It will not be able to receive commercial 4K content over HDMI that requires HDCP 2.2 protection, as only HDMI 2.0 ports can support that feature.
